I've been reading articles and posts on BYC for months, but finally thought to create an account. I look forward to learning from everyone! I'm moving from RI to LA at the end of the summer, and once I've purchased a house, I look forward to starting my first flock. I'm also totally into chicken art and crafts, and I know I'll be posting pics here all the time! Adding a pic of one of the drawings I keep at my desk at work--all my coworkers know that I've gone broody.

Welcome to BYC and I hope you don't buy a LA property next to a sinkhole. That is about all I know about LA. Well that and you don't drive across I10 at night in that state unless you want to kill 10+ raccoons on the road getting back to Texas. Also I believe their state bird is the mosquito.

Please consider my region of the country it is reasonably priced, has all of the amenities of civilization plus offers hurricanes too! Oh yeah and no skunks or raccoons.
