I saw this video, in shock and questioning the possibility? It's not graphic or anything but it is shocking and after it sinks in, poor chick.

I've seen similar videos of other livestock eating chicks. I.d.k. I suppose anything's possible, but really...horses are herbivores.

A horse we were boarding when I was a kid attacked and killed my 4-H goat. It picked her with his jaws by the neck and shook her hard enough to snap her neck. I know of one other instance where the same thing has happened. So, horses will go after other animals with shocking aggression.

But this looks like curiosity gone wrong to me.

That's horrible. If it were to just happen naturally, it'd be one thing. If you pay attention to that video though, you can see that person squat down right before they back up and reveal a chick underneath them.

I could totally see that happening with a curious horse. We had a small bottle baby kitten that we wanted to make into a barn cat so we took her to the farm and introduced her to the horses young. I held her out for one of my horses to sniff and he licked her, she stuck to his tongue and almost got sucked in his mouth! If I hadn't been holding on to her and more or less pulled her off his tongue she very well might have gotten crunched.
