Hello! How is everyone doing today? Any funny horse stories to share?
My husband and I noticed that when Apple starts picking at Drago, Drago will march over to the gate and close it so Apple is stuck on the other side. It is not a little nudge of the gate either, Drago will put is head down over the gate then start backing up to pull it shut. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but no it is a very deliberate march to go close the gate if Apple starts being a butt😂

Oh my gosh! Hahahaha, that's great!:lau

I've never owned a chestnut/sorrel, but always heard people say Chestnuts are more feisty, especially "Red Mares." I've ridden a few, they seemed average feistiness to me, but those of you who have red mares, do you think this is true?
Before being around chestnut mares, I always felt that "red mare" stereotype was exaggerated when I saw it online or heard people talk about it. But now that I've had Ginger, I feel it's totally real.
😂 I often joke I'm her only friend; she'll pin her ears at any horse riding by too close, got into fights with the last two horses we tried to turn her out next to, and will even kick at and pin her ears at dogs and cats! She gets nippy about the girth, but I believe some of that might be from her past and also her thin skin, but she can definitely be a real grouch.

And it's not just Ginger, I've known other red mares who are really feisty too. I think in general mares can get a bit "moodier" (trying to think of a better word, idk. not all mares for sure. I know some who are sweet as pie), but I don't know about those red ones, they're ... special lol. I love Ginger so much though, she'll do absolutely anything for me, so the feisty side can be forgiven 😅

He’s so smart! It’s so funny what a great horse! 🤣

Yo saaaaaaaaaameeeeee. I think tone tags are a relatively newer thing and are meant to be helpful for like autistic and neurodivergent people, etc. who can’t really tell tone well but IMO they’re not actually very helpful and are kind of dumb because almost nobody outside that world or even in that world (I’m neurodivergent myself) actually knows what they mean and you might as well just either type out “I’m just kidding” or “I’m just… whatever” or just use one of the MANY emojis to much more easily convey your emotions LOL 🤣😭 just my opinion though. Sorry.
that's valid! i'm just reliant on them because i don't want to be misunderstood. i can spell out the whole word here instead of using abbreviations?
