Usually I don’t like gimmicky horse tack, but I am obsessed with my HEC hybrid halter. I always used rope halters for training, but after a horse back riding accident years ago my whole right side of my body was busted up pretty good. Im right handed, but per the doctor “have the grip strength of a child” in my right hand now and tying knots can be frustrating. These halters have been a lifesaver with no knot tying and look way better than I expected. I bought one originally thinking I would probably end up hating it, but I went back and bought two more so all three horses have their own. I just figured I would share in case anyone else was debating about getting one🤣

This is great to know! I have a similar issue with my right hand due to a bad mauling by a terrified dog. It's nice to know there are options "out there."

went riding this weekend and jumped a corner-oxer thing at the end of the lesson! the horse did a nice big round jump over it and I forgot to keep my hips + weight centered over the saddle. whoops lol
we walked around the property a bit to cool down and I just let him explore! it was fun! ended up no-stirrups trotting up a hill, he was excited to go take a look. I thought he was going to canter and got a little scared, but I've cantered without stirrups plenty before, so I think I'd have been okay. still relieved that he didn't, though.
