Reenie has figured out she can stick her head into the hay net. Silly mare!

Once awhile back I was riding an older horse (who had been attacked by a cougar when he was a colt so was was quite spooky outside) outside bare back and was trying to make him canter and he happened to spook! I fell off but then got back on and kept riding for awhile. I did not tell anyone that I had fallen off him for a day or two because I happen to hate it when people say are you ok does anywhere hurt? When I am obviously standing up and still alive! But now I think I would tell if I fell off a horse, but not because I like it when people ask if I’m ok though!

I've been riding my pony lately but last time I did (a couple days ago) I had a bareback saddle and he always loves to run as fast as he can back home...I was holding on for dear life and trying to wave to the neighbor...

Hey horse people! I'm kind of getting obsessed with Thoroughbreds 🤩...

My student just purchased her first horse, a 6yo OTTB that I have begun to retrain as a western dressage horse! His name is Harley. He's a big boy at 17 hands but he's so LAZY! lol.

And for a few weeks now I've been riding and restarting another OTTB, Ernie. He's still in the round pen learning how to be less anxious and listen to whoa and all that, and currently learning his canter leads. He's a big goofy guy that's anxious and super mouthy but he's got a really funny personality and is such a fun ride.

Earlier last year our one boarder also got a Thoroughbred off the track, who I am currently not riding anymore. And of course my Ginger is a Thoroughbred, just not off the track. I have to say, the breed and these off the track guys are really growing on me. They're so much fun to work with and have so much heart to give! :love

Hello! I haven’t been on here for a while and have a couple questions for you guys. Does anyone have a fluffy girth you would recommend that is good quality? I was also curious if any of you have done any type of liberty stuff with your horses?
