How big or small is your farm or homestead

Although we don’t consider ourselves farmers or homesteaders we seem to be heading in that direction somewhat, maybe we’re homesteaders lite. Anyway, with the garden and now the chickens, and home preservation being done on what is 1.25 acres in a development which is in a semi rural/agricultural area, I am just curious what others have to work with.

I wouldn’t consider myself a homesteader, but I’m definitely not a city girl! I have a small flock of chickens, a male trio of button quail, various other pets, and try to grow herbs but it never works. If you want to expand I would recommend quail, as they don’t take up much space.

Not really looking to expand, maybe a bit, as the bug hits I suppose. Just curious how much land people have to work with.

25 acres, about half of it is woods. A creek, a river, 2 big gardens, and 10 chickens.

Every year, I look to grow more food for us in the gardens. Still waiting for any kind of harvest from our fruit trees. :hmm
