Yep, just buy everybody "crocs". Then leave them by the backdoor! You can find really cheap, off brand ones-sometimes in the grocery store or drug store....And remember if chicken poop killed people, there would be a lot less people on this site!!!!
Barn shoes specific for the job...and the season! Sandals right now would equal frostbite. We kick them off in the mudroom every time...and if I forget and happen to wear them to run a quick errand, their lovely barn perfume begins to waft throughout the truck reminding me of why we always pull a "Mr.Rogers" take the 45 seconds necessary to change them.
Shoes? We had almost as many until we got the "crocs" and the hose for spring,summer,fall...in winter it's chicken poop boots(everyone gets a pair roughly 10.00 at TSC) and they come off right inside the door on a boot tray. The crocs are great for those warmer seasons because you can hose them constantly when needed and they dry quickly as well.Every once in a while we spray 'em down with some bleach too.If anyone has better ideas on keeping chicken poo out of the house...please , do let us all know!
