How do you catch a chicken or duck???

My first chickens were a week old and I did not want to pick them up when they didn't want to. Didn't I learn my lesson. The easiest way is to get them in a corner. Keep in mind once you pick one up, the other runs off. Find a way to separate them if you can't tell them apart. I didn't think a fishing net would work. Thought they would get themselves tangled.
