9 eggs from 8 hens yesterday and 3 today. I presume their production will continue to fluctuate due to autumn being upon us

Kijiji is our online market place, but the people who take them tend to get a whole bunch and throw them all in together to fight and all. Then they are killed for eating. Which I am ok with. But I would prefer they killed thwm here so I know they are not abused or neglected. But no one wants to do that.

We got our chicks last year from the local Mennonite farm store and the gentleman there told us that if any of them turned out to be roos, he would be happy to take them back. I didn't ask if they would later be served in chicken and pastry in their adjoining restaurant.
I would have taken them up on their offer if I had another roo in addition to Bruce.
By the way, 7 Tuesday, 8 Wednesday and 7 today.
