I have 1 hatched of the other 3 are rolling now.

It's been two weeks without eggs here, but the hens have been molting and the pullets are not quite ready...

yeah, I feel you. I only have 3 layers, one is molting and the other two are slowing down. This year's 3 new pullets will probably start laying in between xmas and new year, as their older sisters did last year...

One Banty egg when I opened the coop this morning. Looks like a Goldie egg, but Jade was sitting on it, all puffed up.
Sis found two GC eggs when she got home.

have completely capitulated and just open the pasture gate now after I let them out in the morning, 10-12 (out of 17) escape every single day

But surprisingly, they come back to the nests to lay and do not lay in the hedge.

FOR NOW lol I do realize that me letting them all go where they want may in fact yield me some birds laying in the hedge.

But if that is the case I will just lock them in the house for a few days. But they have 208 square feet in the hen house so I don't feel bad about that.
