I'd be interested to know what you are feeding. I have 7 layers and only 1 egg a day. I did find a broody hen yesterday, so I guess I could say I had 2 laying, but still....16 hens and 16 eggs, a first from my girls. My two slackers are no longer slacking!
My white leghorn sometimes lays in the pump house. My husband found 2 eggs from her in there but they don't always lay everyday because some breeds are not prolific layers. I have an Easter egger and an olive egger but they don't lay everyday. My olive egger went about 4/5 days of not laying.Only 6 yesterday; we've had a wicked cold snap I am guessing that is affecting them? I am new to this haha

Sophia laid this morning; she'd gone 3 days without laying. Is that normal?
Yesterday, I was so convinced there was a nest in the hedge I got hazmat suited up (yick, spiders!) and dug around in all the thick spots, all over the entire hedge from one side to the nest and NADA. So, I need to wander around even more I guess.
Or is it possible to have a 3 day break?!
I'm just stubborn, if they are laying outside (besides the shed, which only gets an egg every few days) I want to know where else to look! lol
