I have 4 hens and haven’t received any eggs for a few months now. Had to purchase eggs from the grocery store last month for the first time in one and a half years now. Sigh

I actually got one egg on Christmas Day! Nothing more. It’s just too rainy and dark in Oregon right now. I was very surprised to get that one. lol

My hens have been laying behind a bale of straw.
I thought a chicken was stuck behind it, and when I moved her, I found them.
A dozen eggs, frozen. Little buggers.

Eight Christmas eggs. Five brown, three blue. One of the blue ones was in the poop tray, so guessing it's a pullet egg. Yay!

Well, here we are at 14 days since our very first egg was gifted to us and we now have been gifted a total of 22 ( with 23 being laid now - I believe) as of this morning with every one being perfect so far. We have yet to eat any yet though, still working through the store bought backlog.

I've been horribly sick with the flu right over Christmas, what fun.

But my girls gave us our first dozen day ON Christmas Day, what a lovely gift indeed

I should have gotten the flu shot this year
