Got 11 today! 6 duck and 5 chicken.

Been getting 2 a day from my ISA browns. Waiting on some pullets still but decided to add some point of lay Leghorn, some were laying so maybe some white eggs tomorrow. Not expecting much from the hens until spring (southern hemisphere)

2 yesterday.

My Japanese bantam was broody, off broody, back to laying egg for a week and now back to broody again. I just let her be for a week because she laid an egg that its shell was cracked and mended. She needs short break.

I also found that Japanese bantam is not coping well with the cold, and our cold is not really cold cold. They are now sleeping in the dog carry box inside the house at night. The weather will only get colder.

I did that with my OEGB hen, she spent nights in the heated feedroom with my elderly girl Red. During the daytime they both hung out under the heater.
