How many Lavender Orpington Roosters?

I give you: a parade of Orpington butts.

Red lit are all little roosters. Note two have very little to no tails at this age. The center one has a tail. (They are overnighting in a trough, as I'm having a housing issue. I promise they will have space, or preferably new homes. They are good boys.)

Second lavender pic is my little lavender hens butt.

Third is our five year old buff Orpington hen Lucia, for comparison her best friend Barred Rock Becky. (They love to sit on shoes until you give them attention. I bribed them with treats for this pic.)

Is the next step we start a website OnlyOrps?
OK, that's reassuring! 🤣 I was just confused, because this thread kept talking about tails growing quickly were pullets and slowly were cockerels. I wondered if this is the norm, or no.

I think our answer is they all grow their tails on their own time. Their fun, ploompy, bustled tails. The no tails on the little roosters appears to be an individual thing, as one of the three has a tail at this age.

Your girl is a cutie! We were looking for buffs this year, but the stores didn't get any on schedule, so we got the orps they had. My husband is eagerly awaiting our next chick buy of four buffs so he can name them after The Golden Girls.

I wish I could have a big ol' mess of them, but (fortunately) city ordinance caps total at 7 (hens only.) Otherwise, I can see that I could get into real trouble. 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔

#3 is a cockerel
Nuts. Thank you. He's smallest, so I may use him as a companion for the newly discovered chocolate Orpington roo that's a week younger until it's big enough to get rehomed (it still needs supplemental heat). Someone at the hatchery really flubbed my "pullets".

I appreciate your help.
