how much should 2 month old ducks be eating?

My ducks' food bowl holds about 4 cups of food, and we have 4 duckies, and their bowl gets filled up once a day and sometimes isn't fully eaten. They used to finish up the bowl but now they are no longer eating as much.

So, they eat under 1 cup of food each a day, but used to eat more. Now that they are out of their rapid growing phase, does this make sense? Are they eating enough?

Are they out foraging? if so that maybe why your seeing less feed eaten.

Nope, they don't have much to forage on. A few bugs here and there, but they aren't on grass.

I don't know then but as they grow they will regulate their eating patterns so maybe that's what your seeing, Do they appear healthy? if so i wouldn't worry too much, you could add a good poultry vitamin to their water a couple times a week, also Apple Cider vinegar is a good tonic, 1-2 tab to 1 gallon of water. I leave food out from morning till I put everyone to bed and have a flock of 32 so monitoring who is eating how much I cannot do, I just keep close watch to make sure everyone is looking good and acting normal.

I agree with Miss L if they are acting fine and growing well don't worry too much, i free choice here till a couple of months and then some don't have any at night depending on where they live... that said my ducklings start foraging at a couple days old with mama... so eat most of the feed itself at night when housed with mama.
