How Much To Sale Button Quail For? Pet Shop Wants To Buy Some ...

I emailed a local pet shop, and asked if they might be interested in buying some button quail. They emailed back and said they might try some what was my price? So how much could I sale a grown pair for, babies etc. Thanks so much for your help!

I would say for a pair 12 to 15 dollars. For quail by them selfs 3$ each.

I think so because if you put on the mark up they put it will be to much. Thats my opinion i wouldnt buy them, the chicks are a not that much of a problem. What age are you plannig on selling the chicks for?

sell to them cheap. that way they will buy quantity . make $$ on volume = just like eating eggs.

Well you see ... if I sale them grown then I'll have to raise them from babies and feed them etc. So I would have put money in them.

It'll take awhile to get'em grown. Plus I have limited amount of eggs. I might be lucky to get 6 eggs from my only female quail in a week. So if I incubate I want will probably only have 3 or 2 babies hatch. See my problem?

Maybe do 3.50 per chick/ 6.00 per bird? Pet store can do $4.00 or $5.00 a chick and $10.00-15.00 per bird?

Do you have another flock of hens getting ready to lay? 6 eggs a week is very small amout to be selling to a pet store.
If thye ask for a bulk order what are you going to do?

find another coupla pet shops, sell to more then one, charge one a little more gradually "raise your prices until they blink" if one complains about your prices, mention the other pet stores that are paying whatever your higher price is let them call and check good luck you can get your prices up this way.
