Just want to know, I’ve been putting garlic since I found out you could and alternating it with electrolytes and am not sure if it’s a good idea.

You can put garlic or electrolytes in the water but you should still provide plain fresh water for your birds as well.

Plain fresh water is best!
Garlic stays in my kitchen, and electrolytes are only out there for a couple of days, if new shipped chicks are very stressed on arrival. Then there's also a separate waterer with plain water available to them.

You don't need to give electrolytes unless you have new chicks or the birds are dehydrated.

I believe you give garlic water once or twice a week for 24 hours time. You have to crush raw garlic, not use garlic powder or minced garlic.
