This is what I use year round.

Seconding this one. Im on my 2nd winter with this one. It stays out in the run, but sheltered from wind by the side of the shed.

We got down to 11F last night with no issues with the waterer.

In the summer I just disconnect the power cord and put the little cap on the plug on the waterer.
