I think one duck year is equal to about 4 human years.

On average, in the US, humans live 79 years. Khaki campbell ducks live about 9 years. 79/9=8.8 So 1 year for a KC is 8.8 human years. I would just round up to 9 years, because that's easier to say.
But it is probably a lot more complicated than that, because humans and ducks don't age on the same linear timeline. Ducklings and young ducks grow crazy fast (technical term.) They reach adult size and sexual maturity significantly faster than the above formula would allow.
Scientists made a formula for dogs to allow for this.
"The new formula for a dog’s ages based on the study requires a little more math than multiplying by seven. You multiply the natural logarithm of a dog's age by 16, then add 31 [human_age = 16ln(dog_age) + 31].
According to the formula, a 2-year-old dog is the equivalent of a 42-year-old human, but things slow down after that. A 5-year-old dog is the equivalent of a 56.75 year old human, and a 10-year-old dog is the equivalent of 67.8-year-old person."

I just googled, "khaki campbell life expectancy," and got 8-10 years. So I averaged it to 9.thank you! they only live 9 years? i thought she had like 15
Don't get sad preemptively! If you Google pekin life expectancy you'll get 5 years, but mine is 7! I wonder if those typical life expectancy predictions are without veterinary care, or maybe just minimal veterinary care.

my ducks are definitely cared for properly and very spoiled lol, hopefully my pekin boys will also live a long time
scout’s birthday “cake” (last time i made cupcakes they didn’t like them, so i just did veggies and bugs and eggs this time)
