I’m not in the position to get anything fancy. I’d rather just use something laying around the house. I was thinking seran wrap and some kind of wind blocker, but will the chickens peck at it, or is there some way I can put it on the run only in spots where they can’t peck it. I was also thinking of using trash bags. Would this work?

Post pics of your run and tell us....
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Go to the hardware store, look for the 4mil plastic drop-cloths that painters use.
It's dirt cheap, surprisingly sturdy plastic, and comes in 12 foot by 24-foot rolls.
I use it for my small hoop houses, growing greens overwinter.

(3mil or 4mil, NOT .03mil. <-- .03 is basically tissue paper)
