Update the OEGBs have been completely wiped out over here so starting over with crossing OEGBs will not be happening. A guy ended up giving me a terrific RJF rooster so I may be selling lanky’s son but before I do I hope to get a clutch off him to a small RJF hen I have before he goes. I weighed him and his hen he ended up being 36 oz his hen is 25oz the standard of perfection is 30 oz for rooster 27 oz for hens so I should get a few that are the right size and red eared. The real trick will be getting the hen to lay in the winter I have them in a somewhat insulated building so hopefully she’ll lay.

Technically you can breed a bird to their show standard and call it an American game bantam
Also the American game bantam was developed by Frank Gary by breeding a red Jungle fowl hybrid to a pit bantam so it is actually very similar
