Anyone have advice on how to help a duck with diarrhea?
My ducks will have occasional diarrhea, but it seems really bad for one of them this time. I’m wondering if it’s because they splashed a ton of water out of their pool, made a huge mud puddle, and drank a ton from it. I put them up in their house tonight which I hope will be alright and she won’t get like dehydrated or anything. Their food contains probiotics and I also add a probiotic to their water when I have time (usually a few times a week). I’m going to try the stronger probiotic I have in their water tomorrow morning when I wake up. She seems totally normal, eating fine, perky, drinking water. The diarrhea just seems pure liquid and worse than it’s been when they’ve occasionally had it before. The other duck is totally fine. I’m planning on also adding some oats into their food like I do on occasion, but it’s 50/50 on if they will eat them since they don’t seem to like oats. I’m hoping the problem will clear itself up like it usually does and that it’s just from drinking all the gross mud water from the puddle, but if it doesn’t I’d appreciate strategies on how to tackle this
