How to keep a rooster from crowing early in the morning (till 7am)

There is no way to keep a rooster from crowing, I've had them crow all night when the moon is full, some crow at 3am at 4am at 5 am and so on.

Mine crow in their coop with the shutters shut, it doesn't matter. Some rooster don't crow till daylight, while others it doesn't mater.

Get a banty. They are not as loud. Then keep it locked in the coop til 7 or 8 or whenever. My DH didn't want any roos and I went through about 4 full sized ones until Feisty came along. He's a little Mille Fleur D'Uccle, and with 19 hens to service, he is a tired (lazy?) Little boy. Doesn't usually come out of the coop til 7 or 8, tho he crows inside the coop earlier. Since he has such a small crow, we can't really hear him and he doesn't seem to bother anyone around here. Of course, I'm not in the city limiits and my coop and rooster is legal. He crows periodically all day long as well, but, like I said, its not so loud. Actually veery cute. I love hearing him. Sounds like a wiind up toy.

When I picked up my two banties they had three or four roos that were crowing non stop (apparently I was a little close for comfort). They weren't any louder then my hens egg song.

My roo crows at all hours even though he's in the coop. He crows more if the moon is full or if the roo down the road is crowing. Banties aren't always quieter. My silkie roo crows just as loud as my Americauna roo.

My silkies are my loudest hens too...but I'm talkingg more about a Serama, or a D'Uccle, or a Dutch, japanese, OEGB....those really tiny birds. Silkies can get kinda big. My silkies are both bigger than my roo.
