How to stop girls from laying on the couch

My girls love the patio but pooping on the couch is not good behavior. How to stop the girls from either using the patio - or pooping on it?
Can i teach them to poop somewhere else?

You have to fence them out. They go and poop where they want when they free range.

I'd put something new on each of the couch cushions this might scare them away? Good luck!

If your patio is a deck with railing, then a 2 1/2 foot high board/gate at the top of the stairs might be enough to keep them out. This is what we did. Eventually we will screen in the back porch, but that project isn't high on our priority list, so the board works for now. If there is no type of railing around the patio, then you will need to somehow fence it off.

It's a bit of an annoying answer because most people don't want to go to this length but they need to be fenced out of that area.

That is a good idea! I am waiting for new cushions actually (in the pic there is none bc we just got out of winter)

when I put something new in the yard mine will flip so I try not to but in your case maybe you need too!!
