Hello
I've been thru ascitis and calcium issues plus sour crop, possible mycoplasma .. i am stumped. My hen has been having this hunched over, hard rib area, recent squishy bottom, always dirty bum with neck stretches and some mouth breathing/gaping when i lift her. She's still very hungry and eats with the rest of the flock. I've lost one the other day that she would nest with at night. Been giving nystatin since she does seem to have some yeast issues.

Do you feel an egg in her? If so, this will cause her to not be able to go poop and pass her food through leading to the crop issue. Can you give her some vitamins B complex and E in some yogurt? is her crop full? How old is she?

No i don't feel an egg. I've given her a bath in Epsom salt. It comes and goes i thick it's ascitis ..i do give probiotics in her water with the B rooster booster..i even just gave a natural water pill with dandelion to try to remove some water. I don't know if i want to mess with extracting with a syringe if it is. I tried that before it was very stressful.
She's rescued from a horrible farm about a year ago so I'm not really sure

I can show you how to take out the fluid? I have some pictures and an article ( I did not write it though). If she does have waterbelly her vent area will also be swollen? Can I see a side view picture of how she is standing?

Give her some oregano oil in water. It will help if she has this issue.☺️

Her vent was swollen the other week and throbbing so i did probe then for an egg.
I'm going to give get the oregano water slowly with syringe.
She's been behaving like that gaping breath when i pick her up but i haven't seen yellow liquid like my other one had with ascitis
I'll be back w pic

I've been doing quite a few things she's had this off and on for several weeks. I feel bad thinking, should i keep trying to save her but she's eating and roaming with everyone when they free range. She's just slow. And the patches of white on her cheeks..i really though yeast may be contributing, what do you think?

Are you talking about this white stuff?
Those are her ear lopes. If you were wondering.

Yes, the white area seems more than usual and with the belly issues i thought yeast was a concern. I looked in her mouth for thrush signs and looked like maybe some at the back of her throat.
So oregano water really helps with ascitis?
I've made some tonics that helped but it always comes back.. that hard belly in the front with squish bottom
