Hurricane season 2024

I saw a few videos of people leaving for Milton after Helene destroyed much of what they have. All their belongings are now piled high all along the street just waiting to become projectiles.
Other things people don't think about. Also pine trees or like we call them hurricane missiles. Ijust had one taken down on my yard $1375.00 later at least it won't hit mine ir my neighbors house and potentially kill someone

It was pretty far up there. You can see the guy at the top. They had to cut it down in about 10 foot pieces

I'm guiltily grateful that Milton has shifted just enough south to take us out of the cone, so far. In an RV, we're just not equipped to handle it. And my area, Ocala, is a sprawling farming community with more mobile homes than foundation homes. At least a little bit to the south more of the homes are site built, because they've had to be.

Well, since we're only an hour north of Tampa, I want to offer to bring stuff (like chicken food?) after the storm, if we can drive on the roads and it doesn't veer north and clobber us.
Something to think about anyway. If anyone thinks they might need such help, please PM me for our phone #.
Are you still doing okay?
