I feel a little insane!

The only feed I can find locally with 20% protein says broiler/chicken starter crumb? Will this do the job? Thanks
Yes that will work. And as @Eggcessive said, do not forget the oyster shell. Also grit, both in separate containers. Let us know if this (and the peepers) resolves the problem. Your rooster is very handsome! I have a BO cross, he has a rose comb (my avatar).

Your rooster is very handsome indeed😍 I have been told by so many that a rooster is a waste of money but I have to say I think I would have missed out on so much without my Roderick! All the different behaviours are so interesting! I will go for the crumbles so, thank you and yes, I have been giving them the oyster shells and they have plenty of sand for grit. Hopefully this will be the answer, it would be a dream come true if they could all be together unsupervised!

Chick starter is the same as an all flock feed, but the crumbles are smaller. It will work, but some other stores may have the larger Flock Raiser crumbles or pellets.

Just want to say thanks so much and to give an update! They have been on the new food for over 2 weeks and the change has been incredible! No more pecking his feet and they are all getting along better than ever. It is €10 more expensive per bag but it is the best thing I ever bought! Thanks so much for the brilliant advice, adding protein through treats just wasn't enough. I'm so enjoying them all being together again and making use of the full space. Roderick has never been happier🐓

That's fantastic news. You have beautiful birds and a lovely coop. Following advice here never fails. Good for you for taking right action. Hoping the peace you've established remains.
I know what you mean about housework priorities vs. chickens. Housework, what housework?
