I jiust got 6 black star pullets an building a coop 6 ft by 4 ft with 4 nestiing boxes that roll and a run that is 6 ft by 24 ft is that ok?

The run size is good but a little narrow. It would be better to make it wider if possible.

I would also recommend that you make a coop that is larger and also not so narrow. You will have no room for future integration. Smaller flocks do better with as close to 1 linear foot of roost space per bird. They also need landing space for when they jump off the roost. If it is too close to the wall, they can smash into the wall or other obstructions.

You need to focus on the other extremely important aspect of coop construction: VENTILATION. You should strive to have as close to 1 sq ft of permanently open ventilation per maximum occupancy of coop space.
For additional warm weather ventilation, I always recommend top hinged windows backed with well secured 1/2" hardware cloth so the windows can remain open during heavy rain and offer much needed year round natural lighting to help the birds navigate the treacherous nightly roosting battles.

I am more worried about the sun I live in yuma Arizona it rains 3 times a year

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to explore and hang out. I agree you need it a bit bigger for the number of birds you want.

I don’t know which suggestion you were replying to, but hot sun is all the more reason for ventilation. Consider having at least one wall *of the coop/ henhouse* completely open, except for 19 gauge 1/2” hardware cloth.

*edited to try to improve clarity
