I need a bit of help with my 4 chooks.

At the moment, we belive that we have 2 pure-bred light Sussex chooks (a rooster & a hen) but the other 2 concern us. We are fairly sure that They are a Sussex (not sure what specific type) cross with an Easter egger. Any thoughts?

they are both hens
(top is Clover and bottom is Loona)
we originally thought that Loona was part faverolle but I found other breeds and the Easter egger looked very similar to her more than the other breeds. When we got all 5 (now 4) we were told they were ISA browns….clearly not XD


sooooo any thoughts? I need this information fairly quickly considering I have more than enough things to worry about. Please, leave your thoughts

I think that is a reasonable assumption on your part. They have the white legs of Sussex and the beards/muffs very likely came from an EE parent in the one bird. The other could easily be an EE crossed with Sussex as well. They definitely aren't purebreds.

I'm not an expert on Sussex breed so I won't be any help but I do see Easter Egger face in the second picture.

Thank you we think the markings in the second one come from an EE
