I have a little baby chicken which is sick. We have 11 but only the sick one is a hen. she won’t open her eye, and slowly falling asleep. one eye is open the other i put water on to moisturize it and I noticed that it’s I was not in the right place and it was blue. I don’t know what’s wrong with her but I am really worried about her. Any help would be appreciated.

ugh I am so sorry :( poor thing. is it eating/drinking normally? how is her poo?

It appears the chick either has a serious eye infection, eye injury, or a respiratory infection. If there is a blue/white film over the eye, it indicates serious threat to vision, if it hasn't already caused blindness.

I would treat with an oral antibiotic if you have one on hand or at least flush the eye with saline, not plain water as the ph is wrong for mucous membrane tissues. Make your own by boiling one cup filtered or bottled water and dissolving half a teaspoon of non-iodized salt and baking soda, then cool.

Use Neosporin in the eye or terramycin ointment.

If this is a respiratory infection instead of a pecking eye injury, look for more chicks to come down with similar symptoms. Then you would need to treat the entire bunch.
