Hey everyone!!
I have 3 sick peafowl and I don’t know what to do for them. My male got sick first. His only symptoms were really that he was coughing and he was laying around a lot during the day. He would roost at night, but stay on the ground most of the day.
Now my hens are sick. I have one that is “gaping.” She’s also coughing and has bubbles in her eyes and is on the ground. My other hen is still roosting but I hear her coughing and noticed small bubbles in her eyes as well.
I bought some doxy-tyl to put in their water, will that help? I don’t watch them all day every day so I don’t know if they’re drinking or not but is there a way to make sure they get the medicine in them? Can I put some in a syringe and put it down their throat?
I love these birds and I don’t want to lose them but I don’t have an avian vet nearby and no way to get like la-200 or anything like that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
