I wanna see this movie I don't see the big problem?!

In that case, it should probably be required viewing in all schools.

Love your avatar, BTW.

The prince doesn't look black or white to me. I don't care one way or the other. I have boys so princess movies are kinda not there for us. The Jungle Book, Pocahantas, and Allaldin all had non-white "princesses", so if there is controversy, it is probably because of the white/black couple. Disney also has so cross species romances...The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast come to mind and nobody seemed to complain about that.

Wow! Considering all of the really twisted things in movies today, I'm surprised that an interracial relationship would cause such a stink. I know it wouldn't even phase my kids because we know many interracial families. I doubt my kids would even know that there are people out there that think it's odd.

as long as there are the NAACP type associations out there, there will always be segregation. always. you don't see any "just for caucasion" scholarships around do you? if there were a mention of one, it would start a "racist" drama. i'm not racist at all. two of my very best friends...one black, one hispanic, i would go to the mat for. i'm just tired of all of the crap history. i wasn't alive then and you weren't either. drop it already and live life today. we're sharing this planet, like it or not. make it a great life, or keep it in the past and change nothing. i say put the movie out and make a sequal even!

Perhaps you'd like to rephrase this? "What they do and Why"?
You might care if they were to do harm to you or your loved ones.

If another human wanted to harm me or a loved one , I would of course care , my point is it woudnt to me be a african amrecain tryin gto hurt me or a native amarican or a whatever , it would simply be another person trying to hurt me .....

what is the big deal?? I WANT TO SEE THAT MOVIE IT'S THE FIRST REAL ANIMATED DISNEY MOVIE SINCE FOREVER!

know what? i don't care. remember what people were saying about harry potter? lord of the rings? golden compass? they were all GREAT movies. how can this one be any different. i'm going to see it.

I don't know why the controversy, Disney has had transracial couples before, what about Pocahontas and John? I personally think it was high time they had a black princess and they also need a hispanic princess.

I can't wait to take my little princess to see the new movie!!

Oh dear dear........my boys are too old for me to force to watch "Girly" animated movies! However, my mother is raising 10 y/o twin GIRLS!

cause I want to see that! It looks adorable. The princess is beautiful and I think every little girl everywhere needs someone to identify with in that way. Not necessarily the whole "princess syndrome" but the beautiful, special, most important. As for the whole bi-racial couple issue.....people just need to grow up! We know a lot of bi-racial couples...several family members in fact. As someone else mentioned, my kids would never even notice. They are old enough now that they understand that there is some ugly and severe prejudice in the world and it makes them very sad. It is time people just got over themselves.
