I heard someone say that if a silkie has blue on its earlobe it means its a rooster is this true?Because i have 6 silkies 4 white 2 black and they all have blue earlobes.....Oh and do silkies love water/rain because i try to keep them warm and dry but the one spot where rain is in a drizzle in there pen the run out into it and then they jump back and run into there coop they all do this you just can not keep them dry so are my birds... freaks (not the bad way)....I guess its just something to do for them oh and a while back i posted a chick on here that was going to be a light brahma like the other one but i figured out what breed it is its a really colorful Americana......I couldn't of asked for nothing else......

I know chickens will get wet and some dont care to but my silkies purposely find the only spot were there is water drizzling of a branch or wire in there pen and its like they take turns taking a shower in it its so funny i might take pics tomorrow if its a nice and not rainy day......Seams whatever you do you CAN NOT keep a silkie chick dry(well not really a chick a little older.)

The whole ear lob thing is not true, I have 4 hens with bright blue earlobes. In roo's the lobe is just larger along w/ the waddle and comb. And about the water fetish, mine all look like wet cats after it rains and look at me like IM crazy.... Then they hide themselves in the coop like a hunchback.
