What was the approximate dressed weight each?
The battery in my kitchen scale is dead. It's an odd-sized disc shaped battery that I don't have any of laying around. I will need to get a new battery and then weigh them. In the meantime both birds are chilling in the garage fridge for the next two days to rest and tenderize (let rigor fade away). I'll weigh though before I cook or freeze them.

DW didn't get a chance to go out to the coop today while I was working. When we sat down for dinner something caught my eye through the patio door. The two turkeys were on the roof of the shed coop! It turned out the chickens and turkeys ran out of food. So the turkeys decided to attempt to explore beyond the run and coop. One of the chickens got out into the yard as well. I got the chicken into the coop easily. The turkeys took some convincing with a pile of feed laid on a stepping stone in the run. I then got them to go into the coop for feed and locked in all the chickens and the turkeys. I will have to go out tomorrow at noon when I wrap up my scheduled work and bare the cold to finish hanging netting over the run.
