Happy St Patrick's Day! (belated)

We all enjoyed the beautiful weather followed by snow. Poor birds are confused. A couple broodies. At least my silkie Boba and one serama are giving me fertile eggs. The big hens are also laying which is nice. (Yeah! We can eat real eggs and stop using 20+ quail eggs for breakfast) Because we're getting more eggs than needed I'm thinking about hatching a few for Easter. To Be continued....

So far I have a few chickens laying and the turkeys are thinking about where.

We are getting eggs here!!!
Over the past few days our herbs started laying finally. 2, then 5!, then 4 and so on. We already have over a dozen eggs in the fridge from our girls. Lots of green shells.

I did clean out the coop last week and put new bedding in. I wonder if that had anything to do with motivating them to lay finally.

Longer days probably has more to do with it

My hens have also upped production, but most of my egg collection today came from @Molpet We had a nice long visit. Sorry no pics - just 2 women chatting away, so not much to photograph. 🤣

Seriously, I had a great time catching up, so thank you M.
