Remember! More like forgot Eight months late getting my truck to the inspection station and a yr to put my proof on insurance card in the glove box. My reaction, Huh, DW's reaction, panic.

I love letter writing.

It started for me when I was in year 9, our school was sister with a school in Japan and we were given a list of names for penpals.

I also love receiving letter in the mail with a stamp on it and hand written on the envelop.

Yesterday on the news that one of the big bank will charge people $3 for cash withdrawal. All the banks have been proposing to go cashless. My mom is too old to internet banking.

When my mom's house had some damage due to the excessive rain, she went to the insurance office to make a claim. They told her they are paperless & to fill out the form online. Mom told them she does not have a computer&not computer literate. They gave her a laptop and told her to do it right there and then, and saying that they can not assist her because they don't have spare staff. She was distress and I filled out the form for her at home. Imagine an elderly with no one to help?

I am very against paperless especially if no one is going to help the elderly with the tech.

I simply cannot stand everything moving towards stupid apps. I don't want garbage on my phone.

I really am old.
Yesterday I took a train into town, got my paper ticket@ a vending machine.
That vending machine screen was so dirty, no one cleaned it and it was hard to see. It is a touch screen to get ticket.

I could not get out of the train station because all the exists open only when a card is swiped. I had paper ticket and it did not recognize that. I stood there laughed quietly to myself, you are so old. I did get out by walking about looking for an exist that has human standing next to it which I finally found.

I got into a building and there was no button at the lift to press up/down. It has an touch screen about the size of an ipad with floor numbers and name of businesses on that floor. I waited until it shown the floor that I wanted to go and pressed it. Once I did that, it shown name of the lift that go to that floor. I hurried to that lift and there was no button inside the lift. I really am old because I have not seen this before. Where have I been lately?

Well, I’m 23. I don’t want to know any more about technology. I simply do not want to live in a world that is governed by apps and screens and artificial intelligence. Maybe I’ll move to Alaska. I wonder if it’s still America’s last frontier?

I don't want to live in a world like that either.

But knowing how to deal with it will be a advantage. A lot of us privacy nuts know a lot about technology even though we hate apps for everything.

I am not sure how I am going to exist in the world in fifty years…

As you learn to use technology each day as required, you will acquired quite a lot.

For me, I just need to go into town more often.

Imagine people choose to live off grid, when they HAVE go into town, they will be in for a big shock and they will not have the necessary stuff required by this fast moving world. Can not fill out a form anymore, it is paperless now.
