When we had a b’day or xmas dinner at my partners parents house, the grandchildren ate in the kitchen. Bc the table in the dining room was complete with 8 adults. My sister's in-laws still abide by the different tables during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. 3 different rooms 3 different tables. Male, female and kidsAnd somehow being sent to the ‘kids table’ was a positive for those of us sent there, well for me at least…..if I remember correctly.
