1) first go around with chickens got 9 straight run chicks first week in December and two pullet/hens a couple weeks ago.

(2) weeks have 11 chickens right now it’s looking like 6/9 of the straight run chicks are roosters leaving 5 hens

(3) cuckoo marans, black copper marans, cream leghorns, ameraucana’s from what I was told / can see.

(4) they are beautiful but now the boys are acting up and the wife is coming to terms with the fact we can keep 6 roosters haha.

(5) farming, horses, motorcycles, dogs

(6) I’m an iron worker the wife’s a barefoot trimmer specializing in pathological issues and rehabs.

(7) love all the posts and positive answers and actual help on here. Great community I’m proud to become a part of.

If anyone is looking for a rooster for their flock not the freezer i have one for a good home. Will deliver.

Also would love to get a few more pullets maybe a polish or a speckled Sussex or silver laced Wyandotte locally will pick up

Ooh, a Papillon? Yeah, that's a lot of roosters! Welcome! :frow Thanks for joining! You're going to have so much fun here. I want to know more about ...

barefoot trimmer specializing in pathological issues and rehabs.

what exactly does your wife trim? 🤔
Can you explain this a little "more better" please?

She trims horses hooves along with goats and a few donkeys she’s been doing it for over 20 years and is one of the best ! and you’d have to meet the dog in person to know it but she’s a long haired Chihuahua 😀

Thank you for clarifying! A good farrier is worth her weight in gold. When I had horses I used several over the years, but there at the last I found an outstanding one, an artist, so good I could recognize his work anywhere. It's a science, an art and a gift. That's a very cute dog!
