Hi I'm Sky and I am a student who is currently working on a literary research journal. I have a few neighbors who have chickens but I would like to interview people who I do not have a close connection with who live in other community areas around PDX. Some things I would love to hear about are:

1. Do you know anyone who is against backyard chickens?
2. Why do you have chickens?
3. Approximately how many people do you know who have chickens?

If you'd like to be interviewed this is a very low stakes short interview, and I can bring cookies. Reach out if you'd like to share your opinion or experience!

Hi, :frow welcome, thanks for joining!

Do you know anyone who is against backyard chickens?
No.
2. Why do you have chickens?
I got them on moving to MO from NM. In NM, there are no ticks. MO is like, wall to wall ticks. Ticks are no bueno in my world. So I got chickens. Bonuses: chickens are nice people, good neighbors, highly entertaining, and yeah, eggs! Also sometimes, meat.

3. Approximately how many people do you know who have chickens?
Ummmm... IRL? 🤔 One family, I think. On BYC, everybody!
