Incubating Swedish Flower Hen eggs

I have heard of eggs hatching up to 26 days so I always leave them until then but I haven’t really had luck with late hatches myself.
I was also told by the breeder I ordered from to do the dry hatch, never again!

Hey that's interesting you got 1 black chick too. I got one on my hatch too. :celebrate
You still need to follow the time frame hatching guidelines. If your on day 24 to 25 it's probably dead.
Oh and also, I incubated 8 eggs, only 4 hatched.
Very cute chicks! The one that looks black, actually has a dark reddish brown head and mostly grey bottom with some black. I can’t wait to see what they turn out to be like. I did decide to pull that last egg out. I slowly cracked it open a tiny piece at a time, just in case. But it appeared to have drowned maybe . It was fully formed though and it would have been like your black one with tiny bit of yellow on it. Sad. But I am very happy to have three make it. Very healthy and beautiful.

Wow! You’ve got a lot! 😍

Just an update on my Swedish flower hen chicks. They are 3 weeks now and getting so big! Their colors have changed a lot! Can’t wait to see what they’ll end up like.
