Incuview Incubator

It’s taken me a few days to read all 1700 posts here, but I’m so glad I found this thread! I’ve taken notes from so many of you - I can’t say “thank you” enough. And to see how much Incubator Warehouse engages with and responds to its customers is absolutely amazing.

All that being said, after months of researching incubators, I’m definitely going with the Incuview :) Thank you all!!
Hi, I still own my incuview good unit. Before your purchase I would look at a Borotto or it’s sister unit the Lumia. I believe the Lumia 16 and Borrowed 24 are in the similar price range and to me a better unit. I also own the Borotto 49 so yes speaking from experience.

What do you like more about the Borotto as compared to the Incuview? I can’t find any real reviews for the Borotto…

Higher quality components, still fairly new as they started in Europe and Australia. I have not heard from one person that said the temps from the factory wasn’t correct. They are factory calibrated for correct temp. Much heavier duty plastic, I also like the egg turners in the Borotto much more. The slide trays that the incuview uses sometimes stacks the eggs together not allowing them to turn properly, especially with small(er) eggs.
Ask @Nabiki she just purchased one and likes it also. I have nothing to gain by telling you this.
The Borotto is much more of a professional grade desk top unit as opposed to a hobby unit.
You can also check out Coturnix Corner on YouTube as he did a review on both the Borotto and Lumia

Just as an update, I still use my original Incuview and Humidikit.

I prefer hatching with broody hens because I believe hen-raised chicks are hardier and benefit from being taught chicken skills from a real chicken. But whenever I need an incubator, my Incuview fires right up and is a pleasure to use.

Because I rely so heavily on broodies, I probably only use an incubator twice a year and mine still looks and functions like new. I replace the little plastic battery guard in the humidity display when I'm not using it and this keeps the battery from running down.

My one major modification is the extra ventilation hole I drilled in the top. As far as issues, in cool weather my hatching room runs colder than recommended room temperature. At these times, I partially cover it with a sweater to keep the temp up.

Our climate is arid and managing humidity can be stressful especially at hatch. This makes the Humidikit a must have accessory for me and a major convenience.
