Hello guys ..I am totally new to pigeons ..Yesterday we just got our first pair of Indian fantail from a friend who ask me to sell them on CL

my kids just love them so much that we decided to keep them and buy some more

do you know a breeder in south california? or any other place that ships them

also how much is a reasonable price for a pair?

We are not looking for show kind ..just nice looking birds

What should I feed them? i am giving them 20% Protein chicken feed right now

thank you all

I raise american fantails ,they look basically the same but no feathers on their feet. I'm in San Diego. You and I both are getting into breeding season, maybe we could swap some babies or something. I actually have one egg in the incubator (should be a white fantail) I had to rescue - it was abandoned in the hail, it survived so far so it looks like I may be handfeeding it if it hatches. Since you have kids it may be a good one fo you to have as a pet??
I usually sell mine for $50 but I have seen some go up to $150 for show quality.
I feed mine a mix of gamebird feed 21.5% and a little bit of wild bird seed mixed in. I also throw in some fruits/veggies and greens.
20% feed is fine for them, there is also pigeon feed specifically made for them available.

I got one message ..I think she wants whites only...But at this point we have decied to keep them

thanks
