Induced molting without fasting?

I live in Switzerland, so our seasons should line up. Do you know when in october? Daylight during that month ranges all the way from 11h to 9h, so if you're not sure I'll just go with 10h.

Do you by chance live close to Switzerland and want an extra male? XD

Depends on the method... skinning I did 12 one day once.

Plucking is a pain, where the sun never shines 🙈 ... especially when they change their teen plumage.
Did pluck 6 yesterday in three hours

I did the 28 over the whole week after work. Always about 6 to 8 a day.

To be honest, it is nothing I like to do, so I am quite finished after 6-8 birds.

But sorry, we're getting of topic.

I think I accidentally caused forced molting when I tried to get my quail off laying. I restricted her daylight to 7 hours per day. Anything less than 8 or 9hours will do, I think, but you have to reduce it a little by little, and keep them somewhere cool for the most of the time. More light, on the other hand, might be less effective in this case because more daylight means more laying, which means less energy and nutrition for growing feathers. My quail grew out of her bald neck pretty quickly after she stopped laying.
