injured chicken

my poor baby has injured her comb and she does not do well being held...i managed to inspect it and clean it earlier today. Not sure when it happened or how but if anyone has tips or tricks on how to help ill take it.

That's actually the lower portion of her comb. Were you able to remove the blood from her beak and make sure her beak is not also injured? It's hard to tell in the picture. Once you get it cleaned up and the bleeding is stopped there's really nothing else you need to do. Combs and wattles bleed profusely. They look a lot worse than they actually are.

hi ty and yes it is her comb not waddle...still figuring out my way around this thread..its the tip of top beak is chipped off

I see. Then you will need to crate her within the flock for a while and provide her with a soft mash made from her food so she can eat while that beak heals. Use the largest wire dog crate you can find and keep her in that on bedding with water and her mash for a minimum of a week and see how she does.

im guessing she hit something from inside the coup like mabey an exposed screw...she wont let me catch her to keep her separated but she is eating mash and drinking
