Injured two day old chick

Pics
I made her a like a nest with a towel.
So far when I pick her up she feels warm
You're such a good chick mama. ❤️

Is she still acting normal, eating and drinking? If so, you may want to try to figure out some type of "brooder box" for her so she can run around a little. A cardboard box a couple of feet long and a foot high about would work. She'd need heat on one side and a way to get away from it on the other. You don't want it too deep or it could hold the heat in too much, and too short, she'll soon learn how to get out of it. :)

You could just lay paper towels down, as when she gets a few poops, those are easy to replace.

Being inside at 75 is good, but she will need a little heat in her brooder box.
If you have a heating pad, this will work very well. Cover it with an old towel or cloth and set it on low to start.

Make sure there's room in her box/brooder to move away from the pad if she gets too warm.

Chicks like to snuggle, so a stuffed animal if you have one for her to snuggle to or roll up a piece of soft cloth, etc. for her to lean into will be a bit of comfort for when you're not holding her.

I know you're trying to process all the info coming in to you. I've used heating pads (Mama Heating Pad) successfully many times. If possible, make her a little "cave" but that may not be doable tonight. This thread has loads of photos of different ways to use a heating pad to brood chicks, you may find it helpful.

Thank you
I checked the heating pad, but way to big for the box. Made a cave with a small box and she didn't like it. Your suggestion with the stuffed animal reminded me when I rescued my cat. I had a stuffed animal for her, I would place warm water bottles under a towel and she would lay next to it. I also did little rice sacks and I would warm the up. I totally forgot about it 🤦‍♀️ Thank you

Thank you, I don't know anything about chickens. I'm learning as I read the suggestions, from the website and Google. This website site and the members are a life saver.
I will start looking for a bigger box. Right now I'm using pee pads, I have so many 🤭 I fold all the sides in because of the plastic.
Yes, she's still eating and drinking 🙏

I'm so glad others came around with their experience, keep up the great work!
