(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New-ish. Had a small backyard flock a couple years ago, then moved and couldn't bring the girls. Now ready to restart!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4, and fingers crossed it stays that way for a while.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Astralorp, Barred Rock, Sex Link, Buff Brahma.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Caring for them, watching their silliness and getting to share eggs with friends and neighbors.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Sewing, gardening, hiking, reading, and video games.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Two dogs, working on reentering the workforce and excited to have berbs again.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Vets are expensive and hard to find for chickens so a community of fellow chicken caretakers is priceless.
