First time I've ever introduced this early. The Brahma chicks are some big ole chicks so I thought they might be fine. They will be 4 weeks on Monday. I think the hens handled it well. In the video the hens seem kinda of...nervous but I think they are just saying "shut up so we can sleep!" haha. I went out and checked on them a few min ago and all was quiet. I think they are fine now so I'll clean up and close off the brooder until next time!

Silly question but wanted to ask regardless.
4 week old are still not totally feathered out to deal with cool temps that are still lingering, or expected in coming days. Are chicks in brooder in rear, with a mama chicken to provide some warmth??

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:

Have my brooder boxes underneath my roosting bars as well. I think it makes integration into the flock so much easier!
