I'm hoping to get some new call ducks around the same age as the ones I already have (9 weeks old) but I don't know how to properly introduce them. I've tried in the past and they were kind of aggressive, is this normal? How can I keep my ducks from being mean to new ones?

If Calls are anything like other ducks, you’ll want to start with a “see-no-touch” area. Let your current ducks and new ducks see and get to know each other through a fence.

After a few days of this, put everyone together in a big, open area, maybe bring out some tasty treats, and monitor everyone close. Expect some aggression, of course - Ducks have a pecking order that must be established. Neck shoves and chasing is fine. Separate if you see any major biting / fights, and separate when you can’t be there to watch them.

Continue to let everyone look at each other through the fence, and put them together while you monitor everyday. Only let everyone be together without you watching when you’re confident they’ll get along. Ideally, the new ducks should be fully integrated within 1 - 2 weeks!
