Introducing chickens with existing flock

Hello!
I have 3 hens that are about 6 months old and just started laying eggs.

I have 2 hens that are about 10 weeks old that I want to start combining with the older flock but so far I have not been successful.

I let all 5 free range in our yard all day and there are no issues.

As soon as I put all 5 in the enclosed run it turns into chaos.

The 2 younger chickens are terrified and the older hens start to chase and peck the younger ones.

They are separated at night. The older hens stay in the outdoor coop and I put the 2 younger hens in the garage since it's starting to get cold and I worry they are still too young for this weather.

I would love to start having them roost at night together. I tried to put the younger hens in at night after the older hens already roosted but they were terrified and just chirped until I finally caved and brought them back in the garage.

Am I just being impatient? Are there any other tips or tricks y'all would recommend?

Thank you so much in advance for any help!

Measurements on the run? It appears that the enclosed run is too small for 5 birds that don't already get along, and also does not allow for addition of clutter https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/a-cluttered-run.1323792/page-6#post-25037140 to break up the space and let the younger ones hide when chased.

For safety I wouldn't coop up young birds with older ones until I know they can at least get along in an enclosed area such as the run.
