What a lovely introduction! Hale sounds positively adorable! Very nice photos too! I am totally on the same page with you, they can learn to communicate with us. Once we both learn to understand body language, sound levels, eye contact, it becomes pretty easy on both our parts.

Does Hale only have 1 functioning leg and the other leg doesn't work or is it totally missing? I could see two in first pic (I'm assuming that's her), so I was just wondering. How did she get her name?

Animals can be so resilient and endearing.
